Students complete an exit ticket to self-assess what they have learned in the lesson.
These resources are part of KET's Math Instructional Strategies: Number Operations collection.
How often have you thought, "I know I covered that in class, so why don't my students know this now?" Having students self-assess their learning is useful for both the students and the instructor. Instructors gain insight into concepts and strategies they may need to approach differently, as well as into the progress their students are actually making. Students can feel a sense of accomplishment as they "check off" what they are learning.
